I have an '89 T-bird on an '89 T-bird Chassis. Ran 2 times now, battling overheating troubles (upgrading to a
hi-flow waterpump) 351W.
Sometimes I wish I had something more
conventional metric, fullframe.
But I really enjoy racing, and I really
enjoy racing the Ford. I've chosen to start
in the back both times now, and believe me it's tough to start last and finish there.
But I get better each time, and I'm having about the most fun you can have and not get arrested!!

I like to hear from other Ford guys out there. Keep it up!

ps.. I gave the tractor to a friend of mine
and in fine Ford fashion he painted it Ford blue in honor of my "family"

Hey 4D.....The logos on your mud plugs I bet sure look like Chevy bowties from a distance Lol, Just kidding. Nice looking car. and that coming from a die hard Chevy man. My First race car when i was 15 was a 75 torino with a 400 big block. Way to much power for a 15 year old who has never raced before. Have learned alot since then, but still miss the old car. Good luck with the t-bird.

we had an 89 bird last year and built a new car this year (89 cougar) this car is a blast! got all of our problems worked out last year on the old car and improved alot of things on this car and it was competitive the first time out. these cars are fun and easy to adjust once you get to know them. nothin but fords here!

I run a 86 LTD, my little brother runs a 84 LTD and my dad is in the process of building a 82 LTD. We are the only Fords at our track.

Just bought me a eighty-something Crown vic 2-door. Pretty decent body, straight but with a little rust on left front. No motor or trans but has a 8.8 rear end. Bought it for $50.00. Plan on putting a 351 and c4 in it and running it in a 2-man cruiser class next year.

Got to love these ford guys. We think they are really neat to run but a challenge on a 5/16 mile track because of weight and rear %. We are in the process of building a little beast of a motor with the help of ford5 on here and a few others that are helping us with the machine work. If you ever want a little more power touch base with ford5 and he will steer and help you with what you need. We also are in the process of building several high cfm ford carbs. if your class limits you to a stock carb. drop us a line. Think long rods if you want to run fast lol Be good guys. Steve

Me and a friend are currently running a dodge but my brother and I are building a '78 t-bird. Big a$$ car with a 400m, c6 and 9" rear. It's a little heavy up front but I think the setup will be easier than the dodge. We will be running on 1/4 mile clay medium banked. Hope to get it done in about 5 weeks.

If it has wheels or a skirt, you can't afford it! But they shure are fun...
