The car sounds fine at low RPMs, but when I mash the gas coming off the corners, it sounds like its sputtering. Do you think this is probably a carb problem or ignition? How do I figure out which one? I'm no mechanic - Any help is greatly appreciated!

This morning, every time I tried to shift into gear, the motor died, unless I had the motor really revved up. I'm still baffled at what the problem is!

pull all the plugs look for one that does not look new any more. if you have one that looks bad could be somthing on that cylinder (low compression bad plug wire, bad plug) if all look bad could be dist timing or carb.
