mine the cable is pulled out and crimped it thinks the gas is mashed so it doesn't fall out of gear.

hey thanks for the info. I found a better solution pull the governer out of the side of case and remove ckeck ball. pulling the cable tite gives your trans full line pressure all the time and will wear your trans pump out. If you need to shift to 2nd this wont work for you.

did you put governor back in or leave both out and is your cable attached to your carb?

run your cable to carb like it was stock. this controls line pressure in trans. remove check ball in governer and reinstall. you wont be able to shift out of first gear.

You talkin about a 200 metric GM Trans? if so i would just swap it out with a turbo 350.

its light weight and I only need first gear. and yes I have a t350 just incase. but if I change trans I'll have to change rear end gears too.

i have run a 200 metric for 3 years and had no trouble if you want to get more horses out of your engine use a non luck up 200 the converter is lighter so it doesnt take as much power to turn it
