Looking for suspension / tire set up ideas. Crashed car last week so I am starting from scratch now. Car I wrecked was bought race ready so I know little about setting up the new one. Track is 3/8 banked clay. Car is 84 Cutlass. Rules allow only for street tires. I have 245/60 Coopers on 15x7 wheels with 3.75" backspacing. I have to buy 2 new tires and wheels so I am looking for tire/wheel stagger ideas. Also, new car will have to have new front springs. What should I look for(soft / hard or staggered). I did salvage Bilstien shocks from old car for rear. New car is completely stripped and very light all around. Where do I want to put my weight? Sorry for all the questions. Again, I bought my first car last year ready to race and was doing well until I was put into wall last week. Any/all help greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Sounds like mine, 1st race of the year, 1st lap of the feature, demolished my front, esp. the left side. As far as set-up-I run an 83 Monte Carlo, front springs are 1000 & 1100. rear are 250 & 275. For set-up ideas do a search on this forum. You'll find more info than you'll know what to do with. Good luck with the new ride.
