You are looking at it all wrong to start with. You are not "charging" them anything. You are going to work for them so they are "paying" you. They will pay you for what you do for them so the question is "What do you intend to do for them?" I can guarantee that if you "charge" them $10 and give them $5 in return they will not let you charge them again. If they "pay" you $10 and you give them $20 in return, they will up the ante as you will be expected to also. it is not their priviledge to have their name on YOUR car, ii is YOUR priviledge to have their name on there. Make sense?

and since it is a jersey shop set up a raffle stand at the track like twice a month and raffle off a jersey for like 5 bucks a ticket. i am sure that would make a profit.

Well Jacop we have several sponsors any where from 100.00 to 1000.00 for the year. But we do alot for are sponsors we display are car several paces all over town so all are sponsors names are out there being seen. Its not what they can do for you its what you can do for then and it works out good as you find good sponsors that you can help. Even with all are sposors we still have to dip in are pocket all the time this is a very exspensive sport and it dont take long or many little parts to add up to big money. Hope this helps and good luck racing.Oh this year we even went to are local paper and they did a event story for free and we got to tell all about are track we race at and all are sponsors so that helped alot. So give your paper a call you might be surprised

we try to give the biggest sponsor the hood then the trunk then fenders and leave the bottom half of fenders for the smallest. We don't set a certain rate for sponsors we are happy too all who donate to the cause and display their business ever chance we get.

A wise man once said "Fifty dollars will buy a tire and five thousand will buy a car, anything in that area would be appreciated" although this guy chooses to race out of pocket because sponorship obligations would be there at all times. No sponsors means if he doesn't want to pound dents out he doesn't have to.
