I was wondering what are the if any advantages of using nitrogen in place of air in tires. The reason i ask is i can get nitrogen free at work. Is it worth taking the tires to work and filling them up???

It depends on how much your tire pressure changes during a race. Have you checked yours to see what they are after the race? Next time check it and see what it is. If it is excessive, then maybe you should try the nitrogen. But remeber, your gonna have to bring some to the track for the minor air changes you need to make to the car.

If it is free I'll take some ,lol. The only time we do not run nitrogen is when we want the tire to grow a little.Like if we start a little tight, that air pressure will expand and make us a liitle looser, the longer we run.We run nitrogen in all tires but right rear.

nitrogen still expands just not as much as air.

even if you fill your tires drain and fill them again youll get some pressure increase.

so youll still have to figure out how much it grows, if its growing too much for you to start the main event at a decent pressure then use it, but if its not growing too much why waste your time.
