Hey, im looking for some suspension advice on my mid 70's MC. i run a high banked 1/4 track and muct weigh 3600lb. following are tracks rules. which shocks and springs should i look for?

No racing shocks. stock replacement
shocks" are NOT stock shocks and are, therefore, not allowed.

Front springs must be at least 5" in diameter and at least 12" in length. Springs must be stock mounted and rear springs must have pigtails on both ends.

what spring rates should i be looking for?

Depends on your track (wet/tacky or dry slick) and whether you are looking for alot of body roll or not much at all. I run a 4/10's high banked that is mostly dry slick. I have a 1000lb lf, 1250lb rf, 225lb rr and 250lb lr. Car weighs in at 3340, me in it. Many different racers will set their's up different, but this may be a starting point to think about. I like my car a little tighter than loose.

As far as shocks, I can run racing shocks so I can't help you there. I know some manufactures make stock "looking" racing shocks that you may get by with. Other guys (and the girls too!!!) may be able to help you out more than that. Race on and good luck!

250-275 sounds right for the rear. The 1300 is a little heavy though. I ran a 1200 and a 1000 on my 77 monte.
