I bought a 1 wire alternator from Autozone to run on my Pure Street. It has the very small pulley on it so I already bought a 5 inch pulley from speedway. The thing is, are they regular threads or backwards threads and how do you foul it to get the nut off and on again...cant really hold by the alternator fan without bending or breaking the blades. Also is the pulley pressed on or just held on by that big nut? Any help here would be great...THANKS

should be right handed threads and its just held on there by the big nut--I would use a impact to get it off--alot easier

As a mechanic I can tell you that the best way is a heavy leather glove to hold the fan and pulley and an impact fot the nut. Not reccomended without the glove.

if just a impact doesn't do it try a filter strap wrench !!
