Raced a 73 for 8 years that I built and loved it, they do like alot of stagger, car handled great, as for the 305 it would be a decent motor to start with till you got a 350 or so. Eddie

Get ahold of your class rules where you plan to race first. See what they say about cube limits (if any), then worry about another motor. As redneck said, the 305 would be a good starting point till you get the all valuable seat time and NEED more power. Check those rules carefully first!

Forgot to add the Nova you bought is an excellent starting (and finishing) car. Leaf spring cars can be much easier to set up than coil metric cars. Plenty of guys are running Nova's on here, and they can help you out a great deal when you need help!!!

sounds good thanks I know I can run a 350 since they came in that year but I am not in a hurry to do it since the work is just starting. what are the main things you recomend doing to the car basics that must be done.
