I'm looking for a good entry level roll cage. Which of these should I go with?

Is the cheaper one good enough, or should I go with the higher end one? For the cheaper one, I would most likely add a couple of down bars in the rear going from the roof hoop down to the frame.

-Stupid question- I can assume I shouldn't even think about going racing with a cage without bars reinforcing the engine bay, right?

Thanks.

If it were me i'd go with the first one and yes in my opinion you should have bars in the engine bay just remember you get what you pay for, Eddie

I just purchased the speedway motors super deluxe cage. Its actually tacked togethor in my car right now. very good cage everything fits good, the only thing i did to it was put a full bar across the main hoop instead of that half bar and i added a few extra bars.

Forgot to mention I have the Speedway deluxe cage also did the same thing as 76 did plus added a few more bars to it, they make a very nice cage and if you have it sent to a bussiness address the shipping is free. Eddie

Check out www.rollcagecomponents.com before you buy any cages. They have the best buy for the money I think. Located in VA, USA

ive used about 20 csc cages and they all fit great, but on 90% off them ive set them back about 1 to 2 foot further. i think the last cage i put in the guy paid 595.00 for it but it had every bar imaginable. that is 1 solid car. no flex in the frame at all. so far it is the only legal s/s ive seen carry the left front
