Bought a Chevrolet 2bbl intake a while back and just got my carb today. Well my intake has 2 mounting holes and my carb has 4 (one in each corner), what kind of intake did I end up with that only has 2 holes???? And what kind of intake do I need to look for, the carb is for 1974 model Chevrolet 350s and 400s.
Has to be stock oem cast iron Chevrolet 2bbl.

THANKS!!

back in the mid 70s gm tryed to save money and if they could eleminate two bolts per engine well you do the math

If you want to use 4 bolts drill the intake and tap it hope this helps

It doesnt really seem like it wants to match up right, the holes will probably line up but the rise part on the intake doesnt seem to match the carb all that great. Do people use just 2 bolts to hold the carb on???

ive ran mine that way for two years now the biggest thing is some carb bases are hollow on the bottom and will **** air out the bolts holes if you dont have all 4

Thanks, planning on drilling it and tapping it so I will have 4 bolts.
