I've got a question for any compression gurus.

We're gonna run a sbc 400 next year and I've got a set of #461 heads, no serious work done to 'em besides a little repair and new valves, etc. Not worked to flow any differently than the day they rolled out of production.

Anyway, we have a set of stock dished pistons to run. My question is, does anyone have an educated guess what kind of compression we'd be turning with a 400 (standard bore) and 64cc heads with both the stock dished pistons, OR a set of flat-tops?

I would run flat-tops IF the compression wasn't too much -- it's a pure stock motor, stock crank, rods, etc. (Also: Q-jet, stock intake, stock manifolds, 280 hydraulic cam.)

Any ideas or opinions would be much appreciated, thanks.
