I race in a purestock division where you have to run cast iron q-jet intake (non-marine)10.8-1 comp with unported camel hump heads, .420 lift cam, vacuume not required, and stock log manifolds. Just curious if anyone else is running this type of setup and what cam durations are running and what is max efficient rpm given the manifold restrictions. Oh yes 4412 carb and SBC. Thanks

I also run a 108 lobe sep cam and turn 6700 or 6300 with the two rear ends I run. Although seems to pull to 6700 if you have ever seen flow charts on int. and log ex manifolds from Brzezinski or did and computer dynoing it seems everything is going down hill (HP) after 5000 rpm. Have you ever thought of shortening up your cam duration and taking out gear and using torque to pull it off the corners? And also do you think the 6700 is about all you will ever get with a hyd cam. Thanks
