has anyone ever raced a chevy s10 on dirt? the truck is 1984 and pretty stock. i usally run it on asphalt but was wondering how it would fair on a 5/8 mile low banked track.

There WAS a kid who raced an S-10 here a couple years ago. We race on a semi banked 3/8th mile clay oval, and it did OK. It had a 305 w/auto, and was a rocket down the straights but he was new to racing and didnt do real well in the coerners. We have to run stock wheels, and you know how weird the offset on S-10 wheels are. Im sure that had alot to do with it.

He had a huge fuel cell over the rearend, and "rumor" was he added weight under it (against the rules) but I wouldnt know either way.

Try it and see what happens...
