season is over for me. Last night finished up the racing at my home track (Hibbing Raceway) for the year. I had alot of mechanical problems at the biggining of the year, but finished up pretty good. Finished 8th in points. (averaged over 40 cars in our class)

Also raced 4 times as a "guest class" at superior speedway finishing well everytime there. They never had the purestocks there before, but invited us to race there and drew around 20 cars everytime. They credited me with "2004 mythical purestock track champion" for having the most points out of the 4 races there. 2 feature wins a 2nd and a fifth made for some fun races for me.

Started out running a mini stock and after four races 2nd in points switched to street stock. It's been down hill ever since. Broken axle in hot laps. Installed 2new moser axles. Next time out rod when thru the cylinder wall. Rebuilt complete motor, bored new rods and pistons, crank turned the hole shot. Next race slid into the wall bent the axle housing then came around the next lap, tire blew and spun around ending up on the hood of another car. Swapped rearend then completed a heat with no oil pressure. Engines still in the shop today, been there the last 4-weeks. Can't wait for this year to end, but still love getting out. The funds this year are killing me.

Was a point out of the lead with a two night race and blew the motor the first night. Worked all day to get another motor in and couldn't do it in time. One points race to go and no chance at top 3 in points after missing a night. Had a great shot at winning the championship and led points most of the year, but that's racin'.

We run at highland speedway in Ill.My brother ended up second in the pure stock class. He runs 2 tracks, and won a total of 35 races this year.He was leading the feature 4 weeks ago and broke an axle.It was a fluke deal, but it probally cost him the championship. He ended up winning 9 features, and the points champ won 5, but we missed a few weeks, so that was the difference. It was a great year, and we had a blast.Take care TH.
