how can I find the clearences for dome pistons that I could run in a 64 cc head in a sbc 355. I would like to find out if I could run some .180 domes thanks

not a prob I have .575 dome with camel back @ 64cc heads but I do have to run the correct spark plug

.575 dome with 64 cc heads?Man that has to be alot of compression,my .400 domes on a 64 cc head comes to 14.5-1.

how would I figure the compression ratio on that combo?

try using clay instead of grease, you can see the exact indentation in the clay. and a little cleaner also

what comp does that large of a dome and camel humps give you?? i am trying to get as much comp as i can get with camel humps. what spark plugs do you use with those large domes?? thanks

they are champion plugs found in the lawnmower section. they were recomended by a mod driver. the electrod is very short and looks like it just barely sticks in the cylinder at all but seem to work ok now. but with flat tops. I found a formula in the tool box for figuring comp ratio but its with flat tops. but it says to take away the cc's for the domes from the cc's of the heads but I not sure how much a .180 dome is in cc's
