What is the most you can set your timing at without causing problems? And why do you recomend setting at that? Thanks for your help.

most chev engines perform best around 36 degrees total advance good basic unless you actully have it on a dyno to fine tune it.

Read on this post at one time that with stock exhaust you should run 26 degrees and with headers 36 degrees I myself run at 42 degrees. Eddie

make sure that your setting total timing not base timing

rev engine up to about 2500 - 3000 and set timing at this rpm to get total timing

drive hard ro drive home
