What would be the best carb to run in pure stock. Rules say we can not run a holley. Motor is a 355 flattop with 305 heads(casting unknown)that have been ground out for 1.94 valves. high C.R. around 10:1 aluminum 305 intake was a factory stock car but I am going to pure for economical reasons.

A well built Rochester 2G 2bbl carb will be fine for that class and engine.

I run a Holley 4412, 500CFM, in My PureStock. 350, 40 over pistons, cast intake, 488 cam, 58cc heads.

demon just came out with a new 2bbl for about the same price as a holley.
if you cannot run that be sure to get the big rochester they came in different sizes the best bet is to find one off a med duty truck (big block = big venturi)

i run a 350 a 2bbl just arent enough. my car either loses power or leans out. the best carb that i found is the 4bbl quadrajet.i had one rebuilt and it runs the best out of any carb i ever tried including an edelbrock and a holley. for a stock 350 i think you can beat a quadrajet. it gives the motor what it needs when it needs it.
