Working on a chevy 10 bolt rearend.I have a rearend set up gears welded but the housing is bent it's out of a chevel or cutless.I have a straight rear out of a camaro.Can I put those gears in the camaro rear,if so is this hard to do?Is it somthing I should try or get someone with experience?If it's somthing I can do could somebody give me a lesson or tell me a book that will help any advice would be appriceated.

If you want to reuse them gears at least get someone capable to set them up or they are doomed. Whoever you get can tell you if the housings are compatable, or not.

I believe there's a 7.5", 7.625" and 8.5" ring gear 10 bolt. I'm not sure of what was used in which car, we run 9" Fords.

just wanted to add the rearend I am wanting to use is out of a 78 camaro and going back in a 78 camaro i'm just wondering if I can take the gears from the bent rearend (wich has been raced before)and swap them without any know how in this area?

ok yes you can use the gears but i would have somebody do it gm gears can be pretty touchy to setup and can go south on you in a real big hurry if not done right
