ok guys ready to place my engine. #1 spark plug even with upper ball joint.76 camero stock uppers right now there is no shimms on the uppers so I really don't know were the final ball joint placement is going to be how about some ballpark shim stack thickness's for a high bank 1/2 mile

put your fuel pump on and notch out the frame then set the motor in lined up with the lowers...

When you set up the front end, you will be moving the balljoints in toward the center of the car a ton more than you will be moving them forward and back, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just line old number 1 up with the lowers and move on to the next problem.

I'd doublecheck the rules for all the tracks you plan on running. MOst every track around here has "No frame notching for fuel pump clearance" in great big bold letters. Pathetically easy for the tech man to catch and a major bust in the b@lls to fix later.

we are allowed to cut out for fuel pump and mine is cut and boxed back in for strength. My reason for concerns are we did my buddies car the same way and after set up we were about 3/4 inch in front of ball joint .just trying to take advantage of all the rear % that i can
