After my heat race I was lowering my air pressure on the front tires and my rims were so hot I could hardly touch them, I just used the brakes through the corners but should they get that hot, should I run different pads any answers would help

I agree sounds like calipers however,A buddy of mine just went through this and was sure it was the caliper so he replaced it bleed everything and went to the track and have it lock up. found out the master cylinder wasn't releasing all the pressure.

had the same problem one time on left front it was the rubber brake line. when applied brakes it would hold but wouldnt release, if you bleeded the brake it would release, rebuilt caliper, replaced caliper, still same problem, replaced brake line it was fixed. hope this helps...later
