Valvoline 20w50 VR1 4 weeks with Wix Racing or Purolator filters.
Amsoil, ran it from May-Sept last year with 3 filter changes (Amsoil & Wix Racing) and topoffs. Motor looked perfect (except for cracked block) at the end of the season. All the parts will be reused in my backup motor.

I run wix filters and Kendall oil, usually change every 2 races. I was running 20/50 most of the year last year but started playing with the nitro 70 that Kendall offers. Wanted to see what kind of oil temp difference I would get. I think it was enough to warrant using it again this year.

Get this - for my cruiser car ($300 claim) I changed the oil twice all last year. For my Enduro car I change it every race using synthetic. What a difference a class change makes!!

Last year on my cruiser we never changed the oil.......Gave the engine to a buddy to run this year and he oulled the pan and said it looked new on cruisers every 3000-5000

This year factory stock, I change motors more than I change oil.....3 races now on my 3rd motor. I'll change the oil regularly on this one if it holds up. I use napa gold (made by wix) filters and just started using Kendall 20W-50.

Using Valvoline 20/50 and a filter I won't mention for the pointing and laughing, we change every 6-8 nights. Which for us is 120-160 racing laps(hot laps heat race and features). Make sure you change it if you get the engine hot. And keep an eye on the oil pressure gauge, it will tell you if it is starting to break down early for some reason.

I run 20w50 Valvoline VR-1 oil and a K&N filter. I did run wix filters but I moved and my local parts store only carries K&N for performance applications. I change the oil and filter every 2 races.
