I am running an 81 Cutlass Supreme.

Right now we have the stock front end on it. Bumber with shocks and all the fiberglass.

1. How long will this bumber last??
2. What nose pieces have others used (I don't want to run a Monte)
3. What about home made options???
4. Reinforcement behind the plastic???

** About 3.4563 seconds. The first time another car comes near you, the wind will break the hard plastic. **

** I think I've seen a few with the new body style grand prix and monte noses **

4. Reinforcement behind the plastic???

** Anything you can do will help. Even 1" square tube is better than letting the rad support get crushed anytime it's touched **

Just put an iroc z nose on the front of my 79 Cutlass. I saw several pictures of metric cars with weird noses and never really liked them but it worked with no mods to the nose and looks pretty cool too. The iroc nose is flatter across the front and fits the hood line perfectly. Also used a Lumina nose on a regal that was pretty cool too but I had a one piece front end so it was mounted all the way around. Have some pics of the iroc nose if you are interested in seeing them. Good luck.

That doesnt look too bad there, Jay. I like that. I'l have to check our rules and see what we can actually run for a nose piece. I have an 85 Monte, and I really like the nose pieces versus regular bumpers. Our rules say we have to have stock bumpers and a hoop attached to it or the frame for radiator protection and so the wreckers can hook up to it.

sorry, here ya go, we used the earlier model nose. It is more square and fit great with no mods at all.

Hey Bigdaddy, i dont know if this is the problem or not but you may want to try to delete your existing files. For some reason the last pics you posted stay in your file and you can make another upload to you clear your three file spots. just click on delete files and the last pics you posted should pop up. I ran across this problem, its worth a shot. Also make sure you resize your pics to the required file size.

Check out my site below.

I have cars with examples of mid 80's regal body with a '99 Monte Carlo now, and the same chassis with a '03 Gran Prix nose. Either nose fit fine, it really comes down to user preference

I want to thank everyone for responding. I have been persuaded.

I just don't want to look like every other hooligan on the track with the monte nose and rear.

I will have some pics of an 81 cutlass with an 85 firebird nose on it soon.

Some dummy bought it thinking it was an iroc nose.

Here she is.

I feel so dumb getting the wrong nose. What an idiot.

We finished and said," You know, that looks like a Trans Am nose."

Imagine that!!!!
