if you can't cut out the trunk, then cut a
hole in the trunk. then attach cell to trunk with 1" metal straping under the bottom
and over the top in an "#" type pattern.

I was able to take the stock gas tank straps and re-shape them to run over the cell and bolted the ends of the metal straps to the floor of the trunk. The cell is mounted in the center and it is very stable.

just in case your wondering, i used 2" X 1/8th" flat iron around the cell. i welded it to the piece of 1 1/2 X 1/4" angle iron. i made the can out of 14 gauge stainless steel. safer then carbon steel cuz it wont tear as easy and it wont spark either. weights more too .
