If you have a compressor, take the top piece off and slide it through the shock mount hole.....and just use the lower end.

If you don't have a compressor, you can make your own with a piece of 1/2 inch allthread and some sort of bar across the bottom....I made one years ago using some flatstock....made two "sides" with notches to fit the springs......put the third piece across the bottom....with a hole for the all thread.......

Then I made a long hollow "extension" from 2 sockets and a piece of pipe......and used the air impact..... worked great.

Good Luck,

THE CAR HAS AFCO SPRINGS 300# ON RR AND 275# ON LR, I CANNOT TELL IF FRONTS WERE EVER CHANGED, IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE IT. SHOULD A GUY PUT IN 1200# IN RF AND 1000# IN LF TO START WITH?

Those springs seem to stiff for me. We run an 83 monte, and have a 950RF and a 750 Lf, and run a Monster front sway, so when the weight transfers the bar acts like bigger springs. To stiff a spring, and the suspension won't work, and it will push like **** , learned that the hard way, but racing is school of hard knocks.

hrs you might be alot happier losing the sway bar and going to heavier springs sway bars help on asphalt but on dirt you want the independent suspention when your going thru those holes in all these well maintained tracks we run on lol

cooper 1200,1000 sounds good with 3200# car i'd go a littel softer on the rears tho like 250,200
