How does the size of the rear tire effect gear ratio? what effect would a larger tire have? what about a smaller tire..just trying to figure out more about gearing...Thanks

Larger tires will be like going down numerically on your gear.Smaller tires will be like going up numerically on the gear.

This might be a silly question but is there any set formula for figuring out what the RPM and gear would be? (Ex. 1" = 100RPM) or something like that? Thanks

if you look in the tool box there are calculators that you can play with gears and tire sizes to figure out where you will be but you have to have a reference point to start from like 2 years ago i ran a 3.23 gear and wanted to see what i would get from changing to a 3.73 so i put in my rpm, gear and tire roll then my new gear and it was right on the money to what i ran this year with the 3.73
