I got a 86 Monte and want to race it. is there somewhere I can get information on what to do to the frame and suspension to race it. I have seen some cars and have noticed the frame is cut and the motormounts are relocated. How much do I cut off of mine?

if you are new to the sport the best thing to do is get someone that has done this kind of work, have them to help you.or take it to good chassis builder with your rules have them to build it. hope this helps. later.....

If you're in a pure stock class, I wouldn't think your rules would allow you to move the engine back to the point you had to cut the frame? If this is your first time raceing, keep it simple! Advice from xrookie.
12" tall front springs, 1000lf,1200rf,225lr,200rr,good shocks and be safe and have fun.

If you are talking 'bout cutting the crossmember for fuel pump clearance that's only necessary when you move it back more than just a few inches,in the purestock class that's a dead giveaway.
