Brother and I just bought a "Pure Stock" roller. Hope to run this season, in South Mississippi. The Buick Regal has a 8in Ford rearend, with 411 gears, and a 189, 3 speed. May try to run a 305, with 194 heads??? Lookin for suggestions. All are welcome.

rearend gears you want to run depend on your track, your powerband, and your tires. so you need to figure that out first.
as far as sugestions i would try to get a 350. it will be a ton better than a 305. they are not much good i have one or two but dont use them for much maybe an old pick up. dont over cam it also. alot of guys i raced against always put way to big of cam in it and it would sound cool but never come off the corner well.
also if your new to racing
BUY RACING WHEELS DO NOT USE STOCK i have seen alot of them break the centers out of and flip the car, or at least tear up alot. that is my big saftey thing in a street stock good wheels they weigh so much that they can break a stock one pretty easliy in a rut.
what year is the car i am guessing ti is metric?

OK, I'll run a 350 instead of the 305. I intend to run good wheels, I need to know about weather or not the 189, 3 speed transmission, and the 411 gear will work??? The track is 1/4 mile dirt.

it will be a 776.79 gear its a little more than some run but with a small motor you need that kind of gear..................leave it in and go to the front

On the gear I would go with the 3.73 and put a tach in the car. That way you can still race if it is the wrong gear and not blow up your motor. On heads I would go with 487 or 487x. Nodought. The tranny sounds good and the 487 and 487x are for a 350, not a punk 305 motor. don't forget to set up your car also.
