I aquired an early 80's hurst olds (roller) really cheap, and I mean CHEAP. This thing is nice, and has next to no rust, or damage. Should I really tear it apart and make it into a racecar? I wonder if this thing might actually be worth something. Im half tempted to put a good motor and tranny in it, and then sell it to support my racing habit.

Would there be an advantage to making this car into a dirt racer, or is it just "another" metric?

A 'regular' '83 100k mile V6 Cutlass came up with $840 for a private party value in good condition. Add just the Hurst package and it jumps to $2165.

I'd find an Olds 307 (shouldn't be hard to trip over one for $250) and advertise it for $1800. If it's in good shape, someone will buy it. And even a $1000 profit buys 10 tires.
