Ok, when some of you guys suggest certain
Pound springs where is the best/Cheapest place to buy springs?
And is there much difference in brand as far as weakness or sagging springs.

Hi, Chris, Try Day motorsports or Look for 5.5 X 11 for the front. TC racecars has great prices,$39 each, but the web site is hard to use... Hope this helps...loojack

you need 12 inch x 5.5 for the front of a full size gm car. and you may still have to add a 1 inch spacer or so.

That is one specific rule:
No Spacers of any kind.
So is there any way I can swap springs.

I think I am going to have the spring height problem, too. I am going to race a 73 Chevelle. WHen we took out the front springs they measured 17 inchs, we cut them down to 15 inchs just to make it yard drivable.

does your rules specify height rule? or side to side varince some say no more than an inch side to side as an example. some say springs must be same side to side and have a guage to measure wire thickness. there are ways around these rules i need to know exactly what the rule is on springs my rules say no racing springs so i run pigtail 11" springs (take tags off).

you need 12*5.5.

If you need a inch spacer still for more ride ht, you put it flat on top against the frame, if you cut yourself some discs about like wheel spacers I dont see how you would get caught. just tack weld them up there.

They would have to remove your springs and get up there feeling around to find something that looks stock from below.

you may not need the 1 inch spacer, I was just preparing you. seem guys around here in the lower classes like ride ht, the car I recently put those springs in needed a spacer to get to about 7.5 ride ht with 205 tires.
