What class is this? Is it stock american cars, just stripped with a roll cage and a stock engine? What? I never heard of them till I joined this Dirt Forum.

Nothing stock about the cruisers that run at echo valley in Iowa. You better have **** together if you show up there. There are some fast cars up there.

Thudpucker, The thing that makes this class so much fun for some, is the fact that they are two person cars. One person has the steering wheel and brakes and the passenger side person has the gas pedal. Takes a certain amount of skill on both persons to make them work well. Our local tracks have the option to make them run clockwise or counter clockwise to prevent setup from being used too much.

Well, I didn't expect there would be a class with two guys?
I wonder why the rules are so different at the various tracks? Classes are different too. Restrictions at one track dont apply at another track. What an Odd sport!

At Thunder Valley speedway in south west Louisiana they filmed our Wing Car's for the NASCAR circuit series too. I missed it if they did show it.It was kind of a bad day for racing though. We had too many restarts for a 15 lap main.

Absolutely right racer!! If you want the least in safety and the lowest claim price come to the home of the IMCA supernationals. If you even have kickers in the car you can't run and don't even put new tires on it or you are losing money on the claim. I know...we got claimed 3 times this past season. It is an awful lot of fun though and does take a lot more skill than most people think. Some guys go out there to demo derby. We go out to race clean and win. I think my next move is the enduro races. A lot more safe and still somewhat close to stock motors.

just keep in mind, there are 2 man crusiers, which if I can add, if you have a good partner is fun as heck, and there is also 1 man which is fully stock also.

Thanks racer, but I have more cars than I know what to do with now. that car with a 307 was the fastest car we ran this past year For one race. kaboom! ... I never knew about one man cruisers. We always called them bombers or something. They never had a one man class at the cruiser nationals either. Where do you run those??

Thudpucker, I drive a cruiser car at ThunderMountain in Rusk, Tx. Here, you can have a passenger, but only the driver works everything. The passenger is either there just to ride, or to watch the other cars for you. I drive a Buick with a 350 motor. My husband and I used to take turns driving, but now I have my own car. He has moved up to purestock. I like driving alot better than riding.I have control! About the rules, no rules are the same at any 2 tracks. At one track, their Cruisers are like our Purestocks.

LOL, I agree with you! I really think my wife would be a good racer. You should see her wend her way through the exiting traffic at a Hockey game!
She says no, but I keep working on her.
