Pulled the tranny out of my parts car, it is marked with paint pen 80 camaro. How do I identify it as a turbo 350, as I undertand in the 80's there was also a turbo250 Is a turbo 350 the same from one model to the next or did some models get a better tranny. What things should I do to this tranny, the car was last licensed in 95 or so. Any modifications that anyone would recommend? Thanks

It is probably a TH350 but may be a Metric 200. The 200 should have metric embossed in the pan and the housing is one piece (no bolt on tailhousing). The turbo 250 is pretty rare and I don't think it came on the 80 Camaro. It is easy to identify by the band adjusting screw on the upper right hand side of the case right behind the bellhousing. If the turbo 350 has an electrical connection above the pan on the left hand side it is a lockup type. It will work fine just use the converter that came with it, you can not switch them between lockup and non lockup trannies.
