I'm new to dirt track racing so forgive me if this is a dumb question. But when people refer to a car as a metric what does it mean?

It seems that most refer to monte carlos, regals and Grand prix's as metrics. So could someone clarify this for me.

Thanks
Travis

You're right, it refers to the metric fasteners used to put them together. A metric is a GM product from 1978 to 1987, with the exception of the Monte SS, which was made until 1988. The most popular for racing is the mid-sized, Cutlass, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Regal, etc. Remember the only dumb question is one that is not asked! Hope this helps...loojack
