You cannot grow or shrink steel belted radial tires. You can either use a tire from a different manufacturer, use a different size tire, or take the tire on your left rear off the rim and take it to a recap shop and have them grind the tread off for you. Try putting a shim under the right rear spring before your next race.

Watch how much stagger you put in a metric car, they get real loose off with too much.

I am living proof that to much stagger will make you way to loose. I thought I would try some more stagger on my 81 malibu street stock. Usually we run about 1/2'' on a 3/8 moderate banked track. Anyways we put 1 1/4'' of stagger on the thing and we went out and we were so loose through the middle and off that it was uncontollable(sp). Ended up nose first on the wall. Went back to the normal stagger and we were right back on track.

Fill your right rear tire with about 60 psi and sit it out in the sun all day, that works awesome if you have to have all the same size tire.

Be very careful trying to stretch a tire. The tire doesn't usually blow up but the lip of the rim turns inside out, then the tire comes off. SLEEPY
