Greetings all..
I am curuious about what is the best option for ignition. I currently run a stock HEI on my 350. The heads are 57CC chambered and the pistons are .040 over. Would a ACCEL coil upgrade get me anything? How about a remote mount coil kit with the HEI dist. How much will more spark get me?

Your only looking at a very small gain unless you really turn a lot of RPM....Towman

It makes the motor run alot smoother, after i installed a mallory ign box and an external coil it would turn up easier and smooth to 7500+ rpm,and easier to start too.

Get the Accel (or Holley or Petronix) race module and 'super' coil. That'll let it spin to around 8000rpm before it misfires. Stock modules start to breakup around 5000-5500.
