What are your thoughts on running a big block in a metric car versus a small block?

The track is 1/2 mi high bank.

How hard is it going to be to hook this thing up?

I agree with b4, I ran against a big block ford and whooped him every time. I had a 262 in my car. The big block car seemed to nose heavy and pushed. Eddie

So the big block would require too much balast to make it hook it up and pull?

I agree. I ran a 455 olds and was getting whooped by 305's small blocks are the way to go, don't try any trick stuff you will only be frustrated. IMHO

There is no way to compensate for the percentage of weight that is on the nose. You can't get enough cross and rear. Its all in the front of the car and causes a severe push in the corner. I have the same story as the rest, I smoked a chevelle with a BB in it every week till he pulled it in favor of a SB

question if this is so why dosent a 4.3 v6 out run a 355?not arguing just wondering where you draw the for power vs wieght as the big block thought has crossed my mind to only ever saw one run one night in a bomber he spanked booty until driver boo boo on last lap I mean he was pulling built 406s by 7 cars off the corners with a 396.
what if you can set the motor back say 6 inches would it handle then? thanks
