I have a 8.5 rear end with bolt in axels... can you convert these back to c-clips? I have never had good luck with bolt in axels, does any body else have this problem...

i would rather have the bolt in style myself, keeps them axels from flying out.

Has anyone ever tried to convert an 8.5 over to a short 28 spline 9" axel? I was looking at it and it looks like all I would have to do was weld the ends off a 9" on to my 8.5... the bearing on a 9" axel is alot bigger and the axel slides right into a stock carrier...
