I have changed my front springs out on my 79 monte carlo and i had a 1000rf and 900lf 9.5" springs. I went to a 1250rf and 1000lf and these springs are 11.5" and it raised my ride height to 9" at the bottom of the frame on the front. The car has been bouncing like a pogo stick on our rough dry slick track but if i can stick up high on the banking i am super fast.

Well raising the car will raise the VCG of the chassis. This is cause it to roll over on the ride side more which will help with the dry slick track. If your fast I'd leave it though.
