RUN A BIG 3/8 MILE 3300# CAR ON 245/70/15 AMERICAN RACERS, AFCO STREET STOCK SHOCKS ,AND 6.07 FINAL DRIVE. HAD GREAT LUCK W/STOCK 76' 350 UNTIL LAST WEEKEND RAN IT HOT. WE ARE PUTTING TOGETHER A NEW 350 89 TBI BOTTOM,305 CARB HEADS,4BBL INTAKE W/2BBL ADAPTER. MY PROBLEM LIES W/THE CAM. THIS MOTOR WAS A ROLLER, OUR NOPA RULES SAY NO ROLLERS AND MAX .450 LIFT. ANY IDEAS?

i think you can just buy set of lifters and cam install and go..... for the cam lot cam manufactures make the 450 lift. contact cam crafters, they ae sponsor on the forum,so lets support them. hope this helps.

just lose the cam thrust plate on the front of the block, replace the oil galley plugs on the front (the old ones will have pinholes to oil the thrust plate) and use an old style timing chain set and the block should work with a regular cam.
