Has anyone out there researched what the limits are with a solid cam to pull vacuum? Maximum duration at .050? Lobe seperation angle? Intake centerline? Need to pull 16" at 1000 rpm. Looking for a cam preferably off the shelf even though I'm pretty sure a custom grind will be the better ticket.

We have the same rule at our tracks 16" or your DQ'd....14"is a DQ....We run a stock oem replacement cam in pull 18"

I was told only stock OEM replacement will work....I thought an RV cam might pull???

We been finishing upfront so Im not gonna change it

Try comp hyd 477lift 112 lobe seperation, dont know exact cam number lost my card but this cam pulls real hard and you can get 16 w/o using anti pump up lifters.RPM range is 3,000 to 6,200 but i turn mine 6,500 and it doesent stop pulling.

Competition cam has a 280H cam that will pull vacuum (16 with no problem)and will pull great.
