Thought of something else: Have had a radiator cap go bad too. Pukes the water out during the race. Will usually run cool for about 4 or 5 laps before it starts to heat up. Just throwin ideas at ya.

I'm not a real fan of the 6 blades, we've had better luck with the 4's but I doubt that's your problem. Is the fan half in the shroud & half out? Do you have some sort of a shaker under the radiator to help catch the air coming under the car? Also, it won't may a huge difference but is the carb runnin' alittle to lean maybe?

try useing pure disstilled water. It worked for me. I was running 240-260 in the features only change was disstilled water, high flow stat, 22-24lbs rad. cap. car never went past 190. I was fighting this over heating for 5 weeks.

im with racer2 ditch the reduction pulley get a one2one setup... i run a 7 blade fan off of an old van,i use a gutted thermostat, a stock type shroud with the fan almost all the way in the shroud and my motor fights to get to 190 when im on the track.... what are you using for a nosepiece? make sure you have plenty of airflow, might try boxing the front of the radiator in that way the air JAMS itself into the radiator.... me and my buddy do not run a nosepiece and our cars never overheat, after we race we can go right to the scales and right to our pit while most of the guys are heading for the waterhose to cool the radiator down...try it once see if you like it,

I have a six blade fan ,a good shroud, the reduction pulleys, a new stewart stage 2 pump, 3/4 restrictor washer in place of the thermostat, distilled water with a rust preventer added. the car ran 190 on a 70 degree night and about 220 on a 90 degree afternoon. this is with a full nose cone with no holes in it. one more thing i run an alum. radiator. hope that helps
