I need help in selecting a camshaft that works on a 3/8ths mile medium banked d-shaped oval, mild 350 chevy, 410 lift rule, hydraulic. I started with a new iskenderian camshaft, 268 intake, 272 exhaust which fits our rpm range, and which after broken in properly/perfectly it flattened a lobe on the intake side. I have discussed this with a few people running the same isky cam and they reported the same problem. If you can recommend a good cam, please let me know ASAP. (the 410 lift can be stretched a little bit).
Thanks!

Call Ultradyne and tell them what you are doing.

They will want to know all kinds of stuff about the car, weight, type, track.

They will fix you up right.

I would double check to make sure everything is correct before putting in your new cam. I would check to see if the lifterbores are in the correct alignment, spring pressures are correct, you have used the right lube, you have a good timing chain and a cam button. Might be just a fluke but I smoked 3 of them last year until I got it figured out. Doesn't hurt to double check.
