Anyone know the first year the 2nd gen firebirds got a rear disc option?

I believe it was 78-81 with the ws6 option, and it doesnt have to be a T-top or a TA option..

Does the disk hat fit over 'any' axel?
Like my late model rear end axel ends?

Yes that disc hat will slip over most car pattern GM axle flanges, for sure on all 10 bolts. Also you can use the metric weld-on caliper brackets instead of trying to find the stock GM brackets. The disc are available at O'Rilley Auto Parts and Auto Zone, they run about 50 to 60 bucks each....

Hey One87, you looked real good out there tonight, hard to see your number, but it looks like you got that thing figured out pretty well. I think you had a top 3 or 4 car if not for your run in. Good Job.

Thanks URDUSTED. I had a "little" wreck in the first heat that wasted my car. I got enough torched off to run the mains thankfully, but I think i'll need a new body before too long. The front stub horn took a 90 degree bend and whole right side of the car is buckled pretty bad. I had a ratchet strap holding up my radiator! Hopefully I can fix it good enough to run next week. Catch ya later.
