Wondering what I should run for exaust, right now I only have about a foot of pipe off the manifolds, no muffler. is this good, with not back pressure? If I run exaust all the way to the back of the car i think i will only have about 2 to 3 inched from the ground to clear, because I have alot of x bracing on the car. wondering what others run?

I dont know whats best, but I run the corvette 2 1/2" center dumps with a short glass pack on them. It seems to flow well and provides enough back pressure. Plus it keeps the noise level down some.

according to bresinki they have done a ton of work on exhaust and they have found that you need to run 2 1/4 on small manifolds no shorter then 56 inches if you have the big manifolds you need to run 2 1/2 inch exhaust nothing smaller or shorter you will gain torgue and horsepower DO NOT run short pipes you take a big chance on warping vavles because they cool down to fast

Also on the exhaust if you end them just outside the car instead of under it, it will help with the noise level inside the car.

Should a low restriction muffler be run to give a little back pressure to help torque?

I just removed the muffler and notice a slight improvement. I had run two 2 1/4" pipes into one 2 1/4" pipe and then a glasspack. I reworked the system and now have the two 2 1/4" running into a homemade "Y" and at that point go to a 3" pipe. I took a piece of metal 2 3/4" wide and a foot long and drilled about fifty 1/2" holes in it, twisted it a half turn, and slid it into the end of the system and welded it there. It may or may not have quitened the noise as I hoped it would, but I feel like it helped the motor.

Here's what i did. Cut a hole in the floor and ran flex hose off the headersinto the car. The you can either use flew hose or exhaust pipe to run the exhaust line to the door. I had mine exit out the back of the passenger door down near the bottom, You have to make sure everything is tight at all times, you dont want to smoke yourself out (no-brainer). The pipe exits at the back of the door so it isnt going to come back in. Hope this helps.

what an old man told me was to put on a new pipe long enough that you could trim off some.and run the car and were the pipe started to turn blue cut it off there and it should give ya the best results. i tryed it on a drag car and had good luck
