hey I just bought a ss nose peice for my monte and it is solid with now holes in the front.Do you cut holes for air flow or will the air flow around it engough to keep air to the radiator? Thanks

if you're running alcohol, you may be able to get away without the cutting any holes. if you're running gasoline, you'll need a hole(s) for cooling. i always cut the grill opening the same shape as the factory and use a stiff mesh to get the rigidity back. cut some strips of aluminum 1 1/2" wide and frame the mesh with them. use big headed 3/16" pop rivets to secure the aluminum strips to the nose. use backing washers on the rivets to make it stronger.

it looks like the NASCAR boys did it when you get done.

It would probably be best to cut the holes just to be on the safe side bc you would hate to overheat it.

How about the four piece Camaro nose piece? Does everybody have as much fun as me trying to make it fit properly? I can't seem to getthe four pieces to seam up right, and it isn't even on the car!

Cut the holes in it if you don't you will be running hot .You can also drop a piece down (air dam) near the bottom of the radiator hanging down so it will take some of the air going under thr car and put it up to the radiator. After putting a plastic nose on mine I had to box it in and make an air dam. It run 190-195 might get to 200 on the hottest days.

Those nose pieces sure look sharp on those cars.We put one on a car last year, cost 95 bucks...the first night out this guy spun out in front of my buddy and 95 dollars worht of plastic exploded up to the stands. The car I'm building now I think i will pass on the nose,I am thinking about running a shacker screen across the front end,Lots of air to the motor and will keep mud and rocks out of the raditor

IT WILL NOT FIT STOCK FENDERS, I USED PERF BODIES ALUM FENDERS AND A ALUM ONE PIECE HOOD FOR YEARS...

I TRIED IT ON STOCK FENDERS CUT UP EVERYTHING WITH A OLD NOSE TO TRY FOR A STOCK BODY CLASS.

IF YOUR GONNA USETHE FENDERS OEM USE THE NOSE TOO ITS A THROW AWAY BUT REALLY EASY..

JUST THOUGHT I WOULD MENTION SOMETHING HERE ON THE 70S STYLE NOSE WE MOUNT OURS BEHIND THE BUMPER IT FITS PERFECT IN BEHIND THE ALUM BUMPER THEN POP RIVET THE SPOILER TO THE OUT SIDE OF THE BOTTOM OF THE BUMPER JUST BELOW THE LIP BUT IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS WORK U MUST TRIM 3.75 INCES OF THE FRONT OF THE HOOD AND REROLL IT AND THE FRONT OF THE FENDER THIS WAY IT SAVES THE NOSE UNLESS U GET IT TO A HECK ODF A WRECK ALSO I FILL IN THE SIDES JUST LIKE A LATEMODEL AND MAKES A SMOOTH LOOK THIS ALSO DOESNT GIVE IT THE LONG NOSE LOOK WE RAN THE SAME NOSE FOR 5 YRS LIKE THIS AND WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO KEEP FOR A SPARE

Get a 1-1'2" wholesaw and drill some holes,i'f you got a 1987 model nose piece you should be able to line up and drill 8 holes on each side of the nose piece where the grill would be.You also can drill some on the bottom. Don't forget the screen.
