I have a early 70's 4dr Buick that will run on a 1/4 banked dirt track. What are the opinions on leaving the stock rear springs? Are there some tricks that can be done to stiffen if needed? Thanks for your help! This is a great forum!

cut do-nuts out of steel plate and shim from the top if you're not allowed to do mods. It's tougher to see there. Shimming will stiffen the springs like doing a valve spring.

Also there is a spring caculator in the tool box. That you can sit around and put numbers in to get the different varibles.
