Hey all,
for the second time this season we broke the weld at the base of the shock tower....I'm trying to find out the best way to strengthen the joint...Any thoughts???

Not shure on where you mean. is it at the bottom where the tower is welded to the lower rail or where it is welded at the top rail. If it is at the top rail just cut top of tower off and use the Teo style replacable slide in tower. Bend or break a tower just replace it.

We figured out that the left front must have gotten some help breaking because the tower itself wasn't bent at all..When the guy used our left front as a means of getting through the corner it must have broken the welds( both lower rail and top rail...We werent sure because it came apart under caution 2 laps later...The first time was the RF at the lower rail..We feel that it must have been a weld failure because of the stress
(any thoughts about beefing up that area???)

Darin go to www.aa-mfg.com at bottom of page go to online store and click on gussets page 2 saddle gusset part# AA-314-a for 1-1/2" tubing. A&A has alot of great stuff for fabrication. Hope this helps.
