there are some disturbing things coming out of for next year on the rules. From what I heard at the parts peddler show the price to race a DIRT mod is going up.

from some people that where at the DIRT meeting on Friday are

must run a msd with a 6800 rpm chip
spec headers
run a different tire

msd with a 7200 rpm chip
cubic in rule 358
one carb
anything goes i.e. titanium
weight brake to run with big blocks
no cockpit adjustments

big blocks-
no cockpit adjustments

if you run a pro stock you get to run a qc

these are still roomers but they are reliable we will have to wait and see. I do not like the way this is going all I see is $$$$.

It is a good thing we run at non DIRT sanctioned tracks, They still use the majority of the DIRT rules though...I see the future of high dollar light weight equipment most everywhere..I thought that the thinking behind the sportsman and 358 class was supposed to keep the costs down to a dull roar....It gives the advantage to the big dollar guys as usual...
