Sportsman car is where you should start. Less power easyer to drive. Less expensive to run than a big block and just alittle more than a 358. It is a good place to start. I started in a 358 from karts just due to the fact I could use older wheels and used tires off of my dads big block. Sportsman use steel wheels and smaller tires. 358 & BB use the same tires and wheels. Have you been racing karts? And if so where?

I havent been racing karts. I'm getting into that next year and hopefully we will be successful. I'm hoping for 2 good years of it, and i possibly might add one more depending on if I find a good car for sportsmans. Would you recommend to volunteer on a sportsman or big block team for a year to get experience? Thanks

that would be a good way to learn the cars and how to set them up. you also learn how much work is envolved to prepair and maintain a Competitive car before you try to take the leap and buy a car.

Mike, Poughkeepsie, New York. It's called Poughkeepsie Speedway. It's an asphalt oval. I'm the driver, and my dad will be helping me run. If you have an idea than e-mail me at djsamson11@frontiernet.net
