We like the Hoosier tires real well , we only run the Ar`s untill this year . The cost isn`t anymore than AR`S we found , and less in the long run . We used to run AR`S AND I BOUGHT MORE TIRES when we ran them . Tire pressure makes all the difference in a Hoosier tire to get good wear ! Everyboby has there own opions , these are just my 2 cents worth

American Racer, the G-60 was the tire IMCA used to run. Hope this helps.

JT54, if the track is UMP sanctioned, the tires are as stated above. I had it out with a track down in Mississippi over this. I pulled down there from Missouri and they told me that I couldn't run my D's. I don't own many A's so I was ****ed. It plainly states in the UMP rules that "all tracks must adhere to the same tire rule," which is the D,A,H-40. It also says that any track that fails to follow UMP rules will lose UMP sanctioning.

If you look on the UMP sanction rules, every region can run different compounds. In our region, the Gulf Region, we are only allowed to run the Hoosier A-40 and H-40 for sanctioned races.
